Encontre-se depois com o passado, no centro histórico colonial, na visita à Plaza de Armas, à Catedral e ao Mercado Central.
Daqui, parta à descoberta da faceta mais moderna e cosmopolita da cidade, nos bairros Providencia e Las Condes, onde não faltam restaurantes, ambiente boémio e uma vida noturna animada.
Se é fã de Pablo Neruda, não deixe de visitar La Chascona, uma casa-museu do escritor, construída em 1953 para Matilde Urrutia, e cujo nome, que significa emaranhado, é uma homenagem ao cabelo ruivo e selvagem desta sua amante.
Se gosta de alturas, apanhe o funicular e suba ao Cerro San Cristóbal, para se maravilhar com a paisagem e com a estátua de 14 metros de altura da Virgen de La Inmaculada Concepción. Impressionantes!
O Parque de las Esculturas, com as muitas que aí encontra, também merece visita pela beleza e criatividade. É verdadeiramente inspirador!

Valparaíso e Viña del Mar
Nos arredores da capital, encontram-se Valparaíso e Viña del Mar.
Cheia de cor e alegria, Valparaíso é uma cidade costeira do Pacífico o que, desde logo, é sinónimo de mar e praias. E não desiludem!
No entanto, é por ser um museu a céu aberto que esta cidade é mais conhecida. Por todo o lado é possível encontrar murais, galerias, peças de arte urbana que surpreendem e tornam todo o espaço público muito especial.
Os funiculares são, não só uma atração da cidade, como muito úteis para conhecer os cantos e recantos da mesma, pois Valparaíso está distribuída pelas encostas com vistas belíssimas para o mar. Vale a pena visitar e desfrutar do bom vinho e do bom peixe que a região proporciona. Um prazer!
Não muito longe, Viña del Mar é outra cidade digna de visita. Muito turística, com ambiente costeiro descontraído, onde não faltam praias e espaços verdes, é conhecida por ‘cidade jardim do Chile’.
